The Big Bend is one of the best places in Texas, maybe the world, to ride a motorcycle. There are hundreds of miles of scenic paved highways with mountains and curves galore. Traffic is light in one of the least densely populated areas in the US, and the weather is good most of the time.  Ride Texas Magazine conducts an annual Readers Poll for favorite roads.  4 of the top 5 roads named in the 2007 Poll  go through the Big  Bend area.


Big Bend businesses are motorcycle friendly.  When you see a sign that says "Bikers Welcome", you know they mean it.  The Big Bend Ride for Trails is a rally held every October to benefit needed improvements in Big Bend National Park.  2008 dates are October 17-18. This is a great event with  poker run through some of the most fantastic scenery in Texas.
