Bus service to Big Bend via Alpine.
Greyhound Bus lines serves Alpine from the Midland/Odessa airport. It is not a scheduled stop. Big Bend Visitors flying in and needing bus service must notify the Midland Greyhound Terminal one hour prior to pick up in front of baggage claim at 9:10 am and 5:50 pm. For more details, call 432-682-2761. The drive takes a little over 4 hours and costs $33. Discounts available for seniors, students, military and companion travel.
Bus options to Alpine from El Paso
El Paso has two departures per day to Alpine: at 4:00 am and 12:15 pm, taking 8 and 9 hours respectively, with transfers and layovers. Cost without discount is $45 per person.
Bus options to Alpine from San Antonio
San Antonio has departures for Alpine at 6:45 am and 10:45 pm daily; the trip takes 16 hours with a 9 hour layover in Fort Stockton, 67 miles from Alpine. Fare is $68.50. San Antonio to Fort Stockton takes just under 6 hours and costs $68.25
