Feb 1-2, 2008 is the 4th annual  Terlingua Dutch Oven Cook-Off, where recipes  come from cowboys,  campers, river guides, and anyone who thinks they can put together a delicious meal with no more technological assistance a sturdy dutch oven and a bed of hot coals. Cooks will compete in four categories: Entree, vegetable, bread, dessert. Music and live entertainment will complete the weekend.



Feb 14-15, 2008 
kicks of the Terlingua chili cooking season, with the Bronze Roadrunner back to back cook offs on Friday evening and Saturday morning.  Ambitious cooks get  two chances to win points to the 2008 CASI  World Championship.  Anyone can enter; all proceeds go to local schools. Click for more info.

Mas-O-Menos 100K, This Chihuahuan Desert Mountain Bicycle Endurance Fest hosts hundreds of daring cyclist and enthusiastic dirt-lovers for three days of competition, fun rides, eating, dancing and partying late into the evening.  Staged at the home of the famous C.A.S.I.
